This oil is having its own place in lighting of lamps for its medicinal properties as mentioned in Hindi Mythology. Gingelly oil is widely used in Abhayangam massages which accelerates blood circulation and relaxes one’s mind, body and soul. Lot of care is being taken to maintain the hygiene and the temperature of the oil so that it doesn’t rise beyond 60 80 C (Cold Pressed) from the ambient temperature.
